February is teen dating violence awareness month. Margie is joined by Holly Reese of Warrior Defenders and Linda Kirkpatrick of Family Patterns Matter to share their experiences and educate parents and teens. Physical Violence is the most easily seen type of violence but teens can experience all the types of abuse in an unhealthy relationship which includes physicall, psychological, emotional, sexual and other forms. Abuse is about power and control.  Tips are given for parents to teach their teens what healthy relationships look like.  Advice is also given if teen violence has already been experienced.

Coweta Force hosts many types of recovery programs for the community but also assists their clients with all areas of life. Our guest group participates in many roles in many community service projects and they discuss a few here. Key takeaway besides come to our car show is to give back to your community as you are able too.

I58 Mission is a local non profit that has a food pantry, clothing closet and household furnishings warehouse. They work with clients in multiple counties using Isaiah 58 as the mission statement. This groups provides necessities for those in need but forms relationships with each person through one on one conversations and group devotions led by local churches

Coweta Family Connections is part of a Georgia state program that each county runs on their own. Our local program networks local agencies and businesses to better serve our area. Some of the programs developed has supplied local schools with fidget devices for the children who need them, arranged counseling care for the leaders of local non profits who have been in high demand through Covid and our local tornado disaster. and many others iniatives

Riverlife organizes and offers hands on service opportunities pairing those who need help with those who can fulfill the need.
